I have been working out faithfully now for a while. This week alone I've climbed 70+ floors of stairs on the stairmaster, run a mile solid on the treadmill, logged over 3 1/2 hrs on the elliptical, and over 2 hrs on the gazelle. Add to that the 300 situps, 150 crunches, 400 squats, and countless arms workouts and its been a busy week! Myfitnesspal.com has continued to help me keep track of my calorie intake.

Sadly, the scale still hates me and taunts me by either not budging or adding poundage when I specifically told it to drop the numbers on the screen. I do feel a ton better though and I received a GREAT compliment from the hubs Sunday..."You know, you don't jiggle like you used to." Whoo-hoo!!!! Less jiggle makes for a happier Rachel :)

In other news, because it's Cinco de Mayo and there is a Moe's right down the street from work, I'll be celebrating Cinco de Moes today with my good friend. A burrito, chips & salsa, and a drink for $5...heck yeah! But don't worry, I've already figured out how to make it work for my calorie allottment today :)

Don't be too discouraged! You're doing great. You are making time to exercise and keep your body healthy. That's what is important. However, I totally get the fact that after you've worked your butt off you want it to show on the scale. Remember muscle adds weight. I had gotten to where I was working out some days 2 times per day... and working hard with a whole lot of strength training. Those weeks happened to be gaining weeks. I was thinking double the exercise means double the weight loss. Wrong. Lots of strength training just added to my scale. So then I began doing less strength and only one workout a day or every other day and the pounds came off. But remember I'm doing ww too so I know what I was/was not eating made a difference too. Keep up the good work though. In time, you'll be even more less jiggly. :)

Thanks girl! I try to balance between hard cardio days and hard weight/strength days. and I'm giving myself at least one rest day a week where I don't do anything planned. I appreciate the encouragement! You're an inspiration :)

You go girl!! I'm so proud of you! It's been the bane of my existence lately....life is a struggle sometimes but the Lord is so faithful - He has a way! Praise the Lord!

My doc suggested 'The South Beach Diet'. It's an easy read. It looks like too big of a book but you only read about 1/4 of it and the rest is menu and recipes - very easy to follow. I'm about to start that adventure this next week - my timing always stinks but if I wait for a convenient time it will never come! Love you and I'm praying for you!

Thanks Mrs Jeanne! The meds I'm on aren't conducive to me losing weight so that's probably a major factor - but my clothes are looser and I feel better!

I've never been good with diets, but I've heard good things about the South Beach diet. Keep me posted - I might consider doing it! Hope it works wonderfully for you - although I've never known you to need to lose weight!

Thanks for your prayers. love you too!
