It all started at D'Now. I got called at the last minute by a former co-worker who was now at Germantown Baptist, desperate for a female leader for a group of 7th grade girls. I was between churches at the time, and I seriously missed hanging out with teenagers, so I jumped on the chance.

That night (yeah, it was really last minute), Andy came up to me and introduced himself and said he was on staff and if I needed anything to let me know. He doesn't remember doing this. We began to watch each other - I thought it was great that he really seemed to care about the kids, and was doing lots of the sound/video stuff. As the weekend came to a close, my girls said I should start helping out on Wednesdays. Andy agreed. So 2 weeks later I found myself at a new church, with kids I didn't know, not really sure what I was thinking when I thought this would be a good idea. Andy didn't even hardly speak to me because his parents and brother were in town, but he did ask me for my e-mail address which led to him calling me easy (that's a whole other story :) ).

Little did I know that night, that he and his brother were Facebook stalking me. Little did I know that the pictures of my recent tattoo almost prevented me from having a date with this guy. Thankfully, his brother said he should give me a shot!! Andy also began asking his co-workers - who had known me for years! - about me. The next Wednesday, he asked me to go to Chili's with him. I impressed him with my ability to eat an entire Molten Chocolate Lava cake on my own and a romance was born. That first date lasted for 5 hours!

We officially started dating a week later. A year later, on our anniversary, he swept me away for the weekend, took me to Tampa, set up a beautiful set table on his dad's boat, and watched the sunset together - and there he proposed...6 months minus a day later we were married just 45 minutes from where he proposed on St. Pete Beach. Little did we know that just a few months later, we would move to the Tampa area and start ministry together...

It's been an exciting journey so far and it thrills my heart that I get to share the rest of life together with my "Boo"

and I can say I was there at the beginning :)

I love y'all and miss you. I am grateful I get to "stalk" via your blog and keep up with both of you.

Tell Andy I said, "Hey"!

Love, Mrs. Renee :)

What a sweet story! But.... why would the tattoo have kept you from going on a date with him?

haha...sarah, before andy met me he thought girls with tattoos were trashy. i must be pretty crazy and wild if i have a tattoo right? thankfully he got over that and now loves my tattoo - although I can't seem to convince him to let me get another one :)

That's the same weekend I met you I think. I'm so glad you and Andy are together, God knows how to match them. :D

Well, I'm glad he was able to get past your trashiness! That's too funny! :)

For the record, what we did that night was not stalking. It's not stalking if you put your whole life on the internet for all the world to see. I prefer to call it facebook/myspace investigating. I was doing research for a potential girlfriend.

And it turned out great!
